Thirudan Police was a critically acclaimed, commercially successful Tamil action comedy directed by debutant Caarthick Raju, produced by SPB Charan in collaboration with J. Selvakumar of Kenanya films. The film starred Dinesh and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles, supported by Rajesh, ‘Mottai’ Rajendran, Nithin Sathya, Bala Saravanan and others. The film featured foot tapping music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film was a quirky tale of a son entering the police force and taking revenge for his father’s death. Though serious in theme, the execution was light hearted and the unforced humour in the movie came in for much praise
